Nov. 13 & 17, SECOND-SUNDAY OF THE CHURCH YEAR

GOOD MORNING! Welcome to our worship of the Lord Jesus
Christ, the world’s only Redeemer and the Church’s one Head. May
this hour of fellowship give your faith-life direction and power to
serve more capably and joyfully in God’s Kingdom.

VISITORS…we are glad to have you with us. If you desire a call
from Pastor Suehring please contact him at 715-851-1151.
The Gospel is also the basis for the Lord’s Supper, which we celebrate
again today. In this Sacrament, Christ Jesus is truly present with his
body and blood for the forgiveness of our sins. In joyful obedience to
the teachings of the Scriptures, St. John, and the congregations of the
Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod practice “closed communion” with
those who share our outward confession of the faith. We ask guests
who wish to commune to speak with the pastor before the service.

LIFE THOUGHTS FROM LUTHERANS FOR LIFE - The Lord
“is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish” (2 Peter
3:9). Surely this compassion extends also to “the least of these”
vulnerable neighbors whom Jesus calls “my brothers” (Matthew
25:40). No one need invoke abortion or summon assisted suicide when
the Ancient of Days bids “all peoples, nations, and languages” (Daniel
7:13-14) to “call upon me in the day of trouble [and] I will deliver
you” (Psalm 50:15). Prayer: Almighty God, deliver especially our
unborn and elderly neighbors from an evil death. Amen.
